SAY NO TO PLASTIC WASTE!

I’m sure we can all agree that plastic waste is bad! Unfortunately recycling as a consumer is usually a difficult or expensive task, but it doesn’t have to be.

Print Up has a goal to solve the end of life problem for the forgotten consumers and make sure all plastic waste has a new chance at life, again, and again, and again.

HOW IT WORKS

  • 1. We collect or you drop off

    Book a collection online (available within 50 miles of Birmingham, UK) or drop-off at a local drop-off point*.

    * Drop-off points available from mid-late 2023

  • 2. Sort, Clean & Analyse

    We sort, clean and analyse the plastic using state of the art NIR Spectroscopy. Waste that we cannot analyse or clean is separated, sorted and provided to other recycling providers who can give it a new life.

  • 3. Dry & Extrude

    The waste is then dried and extruded into new filament spools with minimal losses in quality and properties.

  • 4. Print It & Repeat

    The new filament is now ready to be reprinted!

    Our recycled filament will be available in late 2023/early 2024.

WHICH PLASTICS ARE ACCEPTED?

  • FOR COLLECTION - PLA, PETG, ASA, ABS

  • DROP OFF* - PLA, PETG, ASA & ABS

  • WE ALSO ACCEPT EMPTY PLASTIC SPOOLS

We do not collect carbon fibre-reinforced filaments or other types of filled filaments such as Wood PLA etc. Plastics that have been contaminated with other substances such as glue, stickers, and metal or wood inserts should have these removed prior to collection. If you’re unsure about whether your plastic is contaminated, just drop us an email!

* Drop-off will be available from mid-late 2023
